Smaller Homes Are Better Than Bigger Homes

By: Elijah D.

Once upon a time there were two friends and one of them had a mansion and the other had a smaller house.  One day Billy, the one with the mansion, went to Bob's smaller house.  Billy found that Bob's house was way more organized than his own house.  Bob claimed that his smaller house was better than the bigger house because it was easier to keep organized since it was a smaller ground to cover.  Billy agreed with Bob because his house was a mess and it was hard to keep up with. Everybody should get a small house!
Many small homes are amazing for many reasons, but this is one very cool reason.  If you have a small house you can get a bigger play field space and it is easier to extend if you want to.  You can make it look like the 21 century by adding things later on.  With a bigger house you are less likely to extend it or change it.  Remember dynamite comes in small packages.  According to research smaller houses improve environmental changes” (Bender).

I understand that people might think that a bigger house is better because there is more space so it might be easier to keep organized.  However, with less space it usually pushes you to stay organized, so that you can maximize the space in your room.  With less space you want to have more space. So, by cleaning your small house you can make more space for yourself.

The average size of an American home was 983 square feet in 1950, and 1,660 square feet in 1973. In 2010, the average had climbed to almost 2,400. “But in spite of the dominance of large homes, more homeowners are remembering the many advantages to living in a small one” (Levin).

  1. I agree with that because in big houses you lose things but in small houses you know where things are

  2. I also agree because, yeah bigger houses might look nice on the out side but the inside is the hardest to keep clean!

  3. I agree with your information because if your not organized in a tiny house, everything will be all over and you canʻt go anywhere! A suggestion that I have is that you might want to add more information besides the one about a tiny house being more organized.
